Sethi grew up right down the street from Girls Garage, and is well-known for her artistic work that uses bold statements and vibrant colors to respond to activist movements. When we asked Nisha to make two custom saws for Girls Garage to represent our slogan, one reading "Fear Less," and one reading "Build More," she was thrilled to contribute to a community and narrative that feels so ingrained in her identity. About the artist:

Nisha K. Sethi is an artist and designer currently based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. She has a passion for typography and has had the privilege of studying under some of the most respected industry professionals. Having graduated from the Design and Industrial Arts program at San Francisco State University and later receiving a Certificate of Sign Graphics at Los Angeles Trade Technical Institute (LATTC), Nisha has acquired a breadth of knowledge when it comes to digital and analog design practices. Her work often centers around resistance, activism, and combining phrases and vibrant colors to illustrate social movements.
